What drove me to make healthy meals recipe?
Living with a very high Cholesterol count is not a very good life for any foodie. Anything that will limit the dishes that we enjoy having, will set us in a spiral state of depression, anger, hate, frustration and anything not good.
But, we have to realize that the reason why we are in such a sorry state is because of the food that we love eating so much, is the one responsible for our current situation. Be it Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Obesity and all those nasty diseases that I dare not mention.
Not long ago, I couldn’t care less what I was eating. MacDonalds, Hungry Jacks, deep fried oily battered fish and chips. Cakes, oh my god I love Cheesecakes, I can honestly eat a half of one large size Cheesecake, especially the rich and creamy New York Cheesecake. Basically, all the yummy and bad food. It’s worst at night because I binge watch and would grab a 300 gram bag of chips and by a quarter way through the movie I am on my second packet or eating a slice of cake.
A sudden feeling of faintness at work have prompted a visit to the Doctors. This is when I had a blood test done and found that my Cholesterol count is twice more than the average, which is a 10. A perfect 10, I said, smirking. But she, my doctor, did not find it funny at all, in fact, she was frowning. How could you let this get up to 10, she says. She quickly prescribed and put me on Statin.
